Orange Oil Benefits

The many benefits of orange oil vary between its many different domestic, industrial and medicinal uses. The essential oil of the orange tree Citrus Sinensis is obtained by cold compression of the peels and the main components are Alpha Pinene, Citronellal, Geranial, Sabinene, Myrcene, Limonene, Linalool and Neral. The oil has long been used to add orange flavor to beverages and desserts, and it is famous for its natural indoor pest control properties. Today it is also used in soaps, body lotions, creams, anti-wrinkle applications, room fresheners, sprays, deodorants, biscuits, chocolates, confectionery and a whole lot more.

Just a few of the many industrial uses of orange oil include use as a treatment for termites in your home, and as a furniture cleaner because its anti-grease properties work more effectively than lemon oil. Orange oil is also useful as a general kitchen cleaner because it kills many surface germs on contact. Beyond recognizing the industrial uses and that the fruit of the orange tree is very nutritious and contains vitamin A, vitamin B, and high levels of vitamin C, researchers have also discovered that orange oil is also beneficial in the treatment of many different types of physical and emotional ailments.
